Arwerthiannau Celf Cymru 2017 Welsh Art Auctions
The Annual Welsh Art Auctions are amongst the biggest fundraising events for Shelter Cymru and always a great evening out.
Artists who are Welsh or based in Wales very generously donate their pieces so that all the income from the auctions goes directly to helping people in housing need in Wales. There's always a wide range of styles, sizes and prices to suit every wall and pocket.
On the evening of the North Wales Auction all lots can be viewed from 7pm with bidding commencing from 7.30pm, and in South Wales at our evening auction all lots can be viewed from 6pm with bidding commencing at 7.15pm.
We are continually adding new donations to our gallery so please check back to see what new art has been added. At the end of August we will be allocating the art to the specific auctions. Our aim is to have a balance of work at each auction, taking into account medium, size, guide price and experience of artist. If you are interested in a particular piece of art and cannot attend the art auction where this is being sold, then please click on the Bidding Form tab above to complete the form with the lot you are interested in and your starting and maximum bids then a Shelter Cymru representative will bid on your behalf.
The guide price is often well below what a similar piece of work will appear as in a gallery or non-charity auction as there are no commission fees to be paid. Some of our lots will have a reserve. The guide price is not a reserve and is a suggested value as to the current market worth of the piece.
Shelter Cymru accepts cash, cheques and all major credit and debit cards for the payment of successful bids.
Tickets to our auctions are available free of charge but our venues do have limited capacities so we would recommend pre-ordering your tickets for the evening. We particularly anticipate a considerable demand for the auction in Penarth.
We do hope you will be able to come along and join us at one of our Auctions.
